Winter travellers planning to set off on skiing holidays with P&O Ferries will benefit from "bags of room" for their luggage during ferry crossings, the operator has claimed.
Many skiers and snowboarders will already be thinking about their holidays, according to P&O Ferries, with heavy snow being reported in a number of Alpine destinations.
The company operates ferries to Calais from Dover as well as a Hull to Zeebrugge ferry route, both of which are located eight to ten hours' drive away from several popular winter resorts.
P&O Ferries also pointed out that travellers will not have to worry about stressful airport delays or baggage restrictions.
"For ski holidays, travel by ferry beats air travel every time," said Sarah Staughton, the operator's head of marketing.
"You are free to pack unlimited luggage and ski equipment into and on top of your car and travelling by ferry also gives you the freedom to stretch your legs and enjoy our great onboard facilities."
Seafrance also serves the
Dover to Calais ferry route, while
LD Lines offers ferries to Le Havre from Portsmouth.
