P&O Ferries has encouraged jazz lovers to take ferries to France to see an exhibition celebrating the great Miles Davis.
The show will be open at the Musee de la Musique in Paris until January 17th next year.
In a blog for the cross channel ferry operator, Tomas Mowlam writes: "Paris isn't just a city of love, it's a city that lives and breathes one of the most exciting and unpredictable musical styles - jazz."
The exhibition was launched to mark the 50th anniversary of Kind of Blue, Davis's best-selling album and one of the most influential records of the 20th century.
Jazz fans can see a variety of items on display at the Musee de la Musique, including videos, photographs, musical scores and seven of Davis's trumpets.
P&O Ferries offers regular daily crossings on the
Dover to Calais ferry route, which is also served by
Seafrance.
Other travel options include
LD Lines' ferries to Le Havre from Portsmouth and
Brittany Ferries' Portsmouth to Caen ferry service.
