P&O Ferries was among the winners at the 2010 Globe Travel Awards event, which was organised by Travel Weekly magazine.
The operator was named the best ferry company in a category that was based on votes from travel agents.
A total of 34 industry awards were handed out at the ceremony at London's Grosvenor House hotel, with a further six accolades announced on the basis of consumer votes.
Simon Johnson, sales and marketing director at P&O Ferries, said the company has happily received the honour for the past nine years.
He added: "We try every year to be better as we recognise people have a choice."
Simon Ferguson, chief executive of the Travel Weekly group, said the Globes are handed out to recognise excellence in the industry and could provide a "vital" endorsement for companies during the coming year.
P&O Ferries provides easy access to France via the
Dover to Calais ferry link, which is served by several crossings every day.
The company also offers ferries to Zeebrugge and Rotterdam from Hull, as well as a Liverpool to Dublin ferry service.
