The best pool players from around the UK and Europe will soon be embarking on ferry crossings to the Isle of Man to take part in the Festival of Pool.
This event will be held from September 29th to October 3rd and will see pool players of all ages, male and female, and from the UK, Ireland, France, Spain and other European nations competing against one another.
Held in conjunction with the Isle of Man Tourist Board, this event takes place at the Villa Marina in Douglas.
Spectators will be able to see a range of team and singles contests, with participants playing for an overall pot of prize money in excess of £18,000.
The five-man team and the men's singles tournaments will be the main events, with pool experts in these contests competing for grand prizes of £5,000.
Ladies' teams of three will have their eye on a £2,400 top prize, while mixed doubles will have the incentive of a £1,000 purse.
While the pool events will be the main attraction there is also a series of major poker tournaments scheduled at the Villa Marina in Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man.
