The coming 12 months looks set to be an exciting time for Portsmouth International Port, which has many things to look forward to.
For example, April marks the first anniversary of the opening of the port's first terminal, which boasts a reduced carbon footprint and improved passenger comfort.
Anyone embarking on
ferries to France or other destinations will be able to make use of the new £371 million Hindhead Tunnel, which reduces travelling times for those heading to and from the port along the A3.
Furthermore, Portsmouth will be welcoming the Olympic torch on July 15th 2012, as part of the 70-day relay all over the country in the lead up to the Games.
Port manager Martin Putman commented: "We have a busy and exciting year in prospect with our popular ferry routes, growing cruise business and always-innovating shipping service."
He also offered his thanks to everyone who has used the port over the past year.
