Ski holidays to France are expected to be popular in the Pyrenees region as well as the Alps.
This is according to Chantal Pitin, head of leisure traffic development at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, who suggested that demand for winter ski holidays in the Pyrenees will be high thanks to the region's "snow as well as the sun".
"We are in the south of France and what is different about [the region's] resort[s] is that they are little resorts, family resorts," she said.
"Last winter, we had a lot of snow in the Pyrenees, so it was great and people enjoyed their stay."
While flying to the Pyrenees is an option, many people prefer to take self-drive ski holidays to France, such is the quality of the country's road network.
This option also allows families or groups of friends to take their equipment with them and journey at their own pace.
According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, the top five ski resorts in France are La Plagne, Meribel, Morzine, Tignes and Val d'Isere.
