Reasons to take ferries to Guernsey this winter

Travellers considering the option of a winter break over the coming months have been offered a number of reasons to take ferries to Guernsey for a memorable getaway.

Visit Guernsey highlights the special offers available at hotels and the quiet, laidback atmosphere of the island during the winter as just two of the reasons to pay a visit.

One of the easiest ways to reach the destination is by travelling on the Guernsey ferry routes operated by Condor Ferries from Weymouth and Portsmouth.

Adventurous travellers can head to Market Square in St Peter's Port from December 12th to have some fun on Kyran Bracken's ice rink.

A visit to Guernsey also offers the opportunity to explore 27 miles of cliff-top paths or sample some hearty fare at hotels and restaurants such as the Farmhouse and Fleur du Jardin.

People planning to pick up some Christmas gifts can head to St Peter's Port to browse in its boutiques.

Those interested in extending their trip can take ferries to St Malo in France or travel on the Jersey ferry route provided by Condor Ferries from Guernsey.
