Another reason why, says Irish Ferries, it's safer to load precious holiday essentials into the car and take the ferry.
"It's bad enough having to endure the long check-ins and queues, but then to spend further pointless hours waiting in vain at the carousel is guaranteed to drive stress levels off the scale... the very opposite of what a holiday is supposed to do," said Declan Mescall, head of passenger sales at Irish Ferries.
"Self-drive holidays by ferry are growing in popularity as holidaymakers take advantage of competitive pricing, short check-in times, space to relax and enjoy the journey, confident that their luggage will not disappear en route." |
