While the current disruption to flights hasn't subsided yet, a new volcanic ash cloud threatens further disruptions. However, there are plenty of spaces still available on ferries with most ferry companies operating extra schedules and increasing the capacity.
Cross Channel ferry operators such as P&O Ferries, Seafrance, Brittany Ferries and LD Lines are all reporting that car spaces and foot passenger spaces are still available to be booked. Irish Sea operators such as Stena Line, Irish Ferries, P&O Irish Sea, Norfolkline Irish Sea and Fastnet Line ferries are also reporting availability of car spaces and foot passenger spaces but all passengers are requested to book in advance to avoid any further disappointments.
