Road goods vehicles travelling to mainland Europe - Q3 2006
Third quarter 2006
The total number of vehicles travelling to mainland Europe was 722,200, a 3 per cent increase compared with the previous quarter and a 4 per cent increase from the third quarter of 2005.
518,300 of this total were powered vehicles, a 2 per cent increase from the previous quarter and from the third quarter of 2005.
The number of unaccompanied trailers, 203,900, increased by 3 per cent compared with the previous quarter and by 8 per cent compared with the third quarter of 2005.
UK-registered vehicles accounted for 26 per cent of all powered vehicles, the same level as a year previously.
