The Isle of Wight festival is just a week away, but that is not the only big event coming up on the Island.
Yachting fans may be keen to board
Wightlink ferries to see the Round the Island race, which is scheduled for June 30th.
The event is one of the largest yachting events in the world, with around 1,700 boats and 16,000 sailors taking part each year.
Starting at the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes, the route encircles the island, returning to the port after covering 50 nautical miles.
Fans will have to get up early to enjoy the start, which is around 07:00 BST, but there are also many vantage points around the island's coast from which the competitors can be seen.
Other upcoming events include the Ryde Arts Festival, a mixed arts festival lasting from June 29th to July 7th that includes music, a Mardi Gras-style parade and family activities.
