Britons keen to learn more about Russia can take a
Holyhead to Dublin ferry this week as the Irish capital hosts a festival celebrating Russian culture.
The event will run from today (February 15th) until Sunday (February 21st) and will feature a range of activities including music, dance and storytelling.
In addition, there will be photographic exhibitions on display in different parts of the city, lectures on subjects related to the world's biggest country and music concerts to raise money for charity.
Tourist board Visit Dublin explained in a statement: "Every culture celebrates the end of winter and the new birth of spring. This celebration is an important festival in Russia and is linked to the Orthodox feast day of Maslenitsa (Pancake Day)."
The Irish capital's popular Temple Bar area will play host to the Pancake Day celebrations, where visitors will be treated to Russian cuisine, face painting and much more.
