People with an interest in foreign cultures may be tempted to catch ferries to France in September to attend a festival celebrating Gallo, one of the country's regional languages.
Mill Goll will be held at various locations in Rennes from September 17th to 26th.
Ferries to St Malo, the nearest port to Rennes, are provided by
Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth. The company also offers ferries to Cherbourg from Portsmouth as well as a Poole to Roscoff ferry service.
The Mill Goll festival sees a number of activities and events organised throughout Rennes, including poetry readings and plays performed in Gallo.
Visitors will also be able to participate in walks along the Seiche river and try local food and drink at cafes and restaurants around Rennes that will be participating in the festival.
There are several travel options for people planning to visit France this autumn, such as the
Dover to Calais ferry route served by P&O Ferries and
Seafrance and
LD Lines' Portsmouth to Le Havre ferry service.
