Stena Line's ferries to Rosslare from Fishguard will prove popular next month as the Irish city of Waterford prepares to host its annual Spraoi Festival.
This highly popular event will be held in Waterford - which is just a short drive away from Rosslare ferry port - from July 31st to August 2nd.
Ireland's national tourist board describes the Spraoi celebrations as "a riot of colour, energy and excitement" that are "unique among Irish festivals".
Visitors will be entertained by street theatre acts, outdoor and indoor music concerts, comedy and various other events that are tailored to suit people of all ages and tastes.
The 2009 Spraoi Festival will be particularly special as it will feature debut performances by nine different acts.
Travellers visiting Waterford this summer will also have opportunities to play golf, go cycling, try some watersports or visit attractions such as the historic town of Lismore.
Stena Line offers four daily ferries to Rosslare from Fishguard during the summer, while
Irish Ferries operates a Pembroke to Rosslare ferry route providing two crossings every day.
