There will be a range of frightening but fun experiences on offer to people taking Isle of Wight ferry breaks next month when the island celebrates Halloween.
Special events will be taking place at a number of popular attractions, such as Ventnor's Botanic Gardens, which will host a ghost walk around the site of the former Royal National Hospital during half-term week.
Participants will be able to hear some of the ghostly tales associated with the hospital, which was built in 1868 and demolished in 1969.
Travellers planning a trip to the Isle of Wight in October can sail with
Wightlink, which operates
ferries from Portsmouth to Fishbourne and Ryde.
Other highlights to look out for include Spooktacular at Appuldurcombe House, a special event that will feature a series of walks between October 26th and 31st.
Carisbrooke Castle will also host some Halloween celebrations during the half-term holiday, while the nearby St Olave's church has its own spooky story to tell.
Families also have the option of taking
ferries from Lymington to Yarmouth with Wightlink or using the
Hovertravel service between Southsea and Ryde.
