There will be some memorable entertainment and culture on offer to holidaymakers taking Isle of Wight ferry breaks this month at the Ventnor Fringe Festival.
Arranged to coincide with the 121st Ventnor Carnival, the event will take place at different venues around the town for four days from August 11th to 14th.
Visitors will be treated to theatre productions, live music, comedy and more.
Ventnor is located on the south-east coast of the Isle of Wight and is easy to reach for travellers taking
ferries from Portsmouth to Fishbourne or Ryde with
Wightlink.
Highlights of the programme will include a solo performance by rising folk star Johnny Flynn on August 12th.
Art in the Park will be held in Ventnor Park from 10:00 to 16:00 on August 14th, providing local artists and craftsmen with an opportunity to sell some of their unique products.
The seaside town is also home to a number of permanent attractions, such as Ventnor Botanic Garden and Steephill Castle.
Holidaymakers heading to the Isle of Wight this year can also reach the island via the
Hovertravel service from Southsea to Ryde, while Wightlink provides
ferries from Lymington to Yarmouth.
