Travellers looking for a memorable holiday experience this year might be interested in taking a ferry to the Isle of Wight with
Wightlink to attend the Ryde Arts Festival.
The annual event brings a range of family activities and entertainment to several different venues in the town.
Wightlink operates regular ferries from Portsmouth to Ryde, as well as a service from the port on England's south coast to Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight.
One of the highlights of the festival is the Ryde Arts Parade, which involves hundreds of performers who don elaborate costumes and take part in a procession that creates a carnival atmosphere.
There will be several other events to suit people of all ages and tastes, including a performance by the Rainbow Wight Singers on July 5th and a recital by mezzo soprano opera singer Lydia Fleming on July 8th.
People planning to visit the Isle of Wight for a summer holiday this year can also take
ferries from Lymington to Yarmouth with Wightlink.
