Lovers of good food will be able to catch cheap ferries to Jersey over the coming weeks to take advantage of a restaurant promotion.
The Jersey tourist board announced the launch of the Spring Specials 2009 initiative yesterday (February 16th) and confirmed that the initiative will run until March 29th.
Presented by Jersey Trader, the promotion includes 62 local restaurants that have put together special menus showcasing their finest cuisine at discount prices.
Establishments that are participating in the scheme include the Atlantique Seafood Bar, Mino's Restaurant and Barro's Tropical Bistro, all of which are located in St Helier.
Holidaymakers will have the opportunity to try more than 1,000 different dishes as part of a promotion that is hoped to boost tourism in Jersey during a traditionally quiet period of the year.
Cheap ferries to Jersey are available with
Condor Ferries, which sails to the island from Portsmouth, Poole and Weymouth.
The operator also provides ferry crossings from Jersey to St Malo, meaning visitors to the Channel Island have the opportunity to extend their holiday to France.
