Amsterdam ferry breaks could prove a popular option this year among people who enjoy sampling beers and ales of different varieties around the world.
The ever-popular PINT Bokbierfestival will come to the Beurs van Berlage venue in the Dutch capital from October 29th to 31st.
Reportedly the biggest festival of its kind in the Netherlands, the event invites visitors to sample products from brewers based throughout the country and across Europe.
Travellers based in northern England can begin their journey by taking
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam with
DFDS Seaways, with daily departures available from the UK port.
As well as sampling a selection of ales, stouts, lagers and other examples of Dutch beer-making, visitors can enjoy the live musical entertainment that is provided at the Bokbierfestival every year.
A visit to Amsterdam also provides the opportunity to see famous sights such as the Oude Kerk and the Begijnhof or take a relaxing boat ride along the city's scenic canals.
Holidaymakers heading to the Netherlands can also take
ferries from Hull to Rotterdam with
P&O, while
Stena Line provides
ferries from Harwich to Hook of Holland.
