Scandlines reduces holding in Mols-Linien A/S
The Danish-German ferry operator Scandlines announced on Friday 13 October that it has reduced its holding in shipping company Mols-Linien A/S to 30%.
The holding was reduced based on a decision announced on 23 August by Scandlines' owners, German rail operator Deutsche Bahn AG and the Danish government.
Scandlines divested a total of 283,334 shares, which after a book-building process were priced at DKK440 per share. The shares were acquired by Danish and international investors.
Scandlines retains 849,999 shares, equalling 30% of the share capital of Mols-Linien.
Scandlines, 50/50 owned by Deutsche Bahn and the Danish ministry of transport and energy, operates 12 ferry lines between Denmark and Germany. The ferry operator is being prepared for a sale, and according to media reports the number of bidders have now been reduced to three. The bids are believed to be around DKK10bn.
