Travellers planning to catch ferries to Belgium for spring getaways over the coming months will have the opportunity to visit the City Visions festival in Mechelen.
Running until June 21st, this event is described as a "festival with a difference" that celebrates the 450th anniversary of the Mechelen-Brussels archbishop's office.
Visitors will be able to see a broad programme of exhibitions, films, outdoor entertainment, visual arts and music presented throughout Mechelen.
Highlights will include guided walks of St Rumbold's Cathedral - one of the most famous landmarks in the city - and the ContourLight exhibition, which will see light displays set up in streets, squares, gardens and other public spaces.
Mechelen is situated in the heart of Belgium, a short distance away from both Antwerp and the capital city of Brussels.
People planning to visit Belgium can catch ferries from Hull to Zeebrugge with P&O Ferries or travel on the Ramsgate to Ostend ferry route with
TransEuropa Ferries.
Eurostar also provides direct rail connections between London and Brussels.
