Sports fans will have the opportunity to catch ferries to Holland later this year to see some high-profile sporting events in the country.
One traditional meeting due to take place in the spring is the Race of the Classics regatta, which will be contested between April 5th and 11th.
The competition brings together 20 teams from universities and colleges across the country, who will race from Rotterdam to Ipswich in the UK via Ostend, before returning to Amsterdam.
People interested in seeing the finale of the race can take
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam with
DFDS Seaways.
Sports fans will also be booking ferries to the Netherlands this year to see the Rotterdam Marathon, which will be run in the Dutch city on April 11th.
Crowds gather in the streets to cheer on the thousands of runners taking part in the race, which follows a route starting and finishing on Coosingel in the heart of the city.
P&O Ferries operates a Rotterdam ferry service from Hull, while
Stena Line provides ferries to Hook of Holland from Harwich.
