See some street racing on Rotterdam ferry breaks
Rotterdam ferry breaks will provide the opportunity for motorsport fans to experience the Bavaria City Racing event this summer.

Described as Holland's biggest Formula 1 event, the 2009 edition of Bavaria City Racing will be held on August 16th.

People interested in attending can catch ferries to Rotterdam from Hull with P&O Ferries.

Approximately 500,000 visitors head to the Dutch city every year to see the event, which features a number of street racing demonstrations and appearances by some of the leading figures from Formula 1.

It was recently announced that double world champion and Renault driver Fernando Alonso will be taking part in Bavaria City Racing this year.

The Spaniard will drive his Formula 1 car through the Willemsbrug, Coolsingel and Hofplein areas of Rotterdam.

While P&O Ferries offers a direct link to Rotterdam, travellers can also reach Holland by catching ferries to Amsterdam from Newcastle with DFDS Seaways or using the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry service provided by Stena Line.
