See some stunning photography on Guernsey ferry breaks | | | | 27 January 2010 | Guernsey ferry breaks could be just the ticket this year for people who have a passion for wildlife, photography or both.
Travellers planning to visit the island during the February half-term period will be able to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year show at the Guernsey Museum and Art Gallery.
Organised by the Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife magazine, the exhibition will be open until February 28th.
Holidaymakers can travel to the island with Condor Ferries, which offers Guernsey ferry services from Portsmouth, Poole and Weymouth.
Billed as "the largest and most prestigious" competition of its kind in the world, the Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest aims to seek out the best images of natural subjects taken in the past year.
The exhibition at Guernsey Museum and Art Gallery features the best entries in the 2009 competition, which were chosen from over 43,000 submissions from 94 countries around the world.
Condor Ferries also provides the option for travellers to extend their trip to France, with regular ferries to St Malo from Guernsey and Jersey.
