See the work of Anish Kapoor on a Bilbao ferry break
People with a passion for modern art might be interested in taking ferries to Bilbao this year to see an exhibition celebrating the work of acclaimed sculptor and installation artist Anish Kapoor.

Organised by the Royal Academy of Arts in London and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, the display will be on view at the institute in Spain until October 12th.

Travellers can take ferries from Portsmouth to Bilbao with P&O Ferries, which will be operating the route until September this year.

Visitors will be able to see a total of 20 major works from several series created by Kapoor, dating from the 1970s right up to the present day.

The exhibition offers an insight into how the sculptor's use of form, space, colour and material have contributed to him becoming one of the most influential figures in contemporary art.

It is Kapoor's first large-scale solo exhibition in Spain.

People planning to visit the country this year also have the option of taking ferries to Santander from Portsmouth or Plymouth with Brittany Ferries.
