Travellers planning Liverpool ferry breaks for the May half-term holiday will be able to pay a visit to the city's Beatles Story attraction to see a new photography exhibition.
Give Peace a Chance: John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Bed-in for Peace will be open from May 26th to June 2nd, presenting more than 40 images of the famous pair, many of which have never been seen before.
The photographs tell the story of the eight days that Lennon and Ono spent in bed in 1969 to protest against the Vietnam War and call for peace.
Photojournalist Gerry Deiter captured several images of the couple, as well as a number of pictures of famous figures who visited them.
Jerry Goldman, managing director of the Beatles Story, said: "The images in this exhibition represent vividly John's unwavering belief in the goodness of people to make peace, not war and remains as important now as it was in 1969. We are hugely excited to welcome this exclusive exhibition to the Beatles Story for its European premiere."
People interested in seeing the showcase can catch
ferries from Dublin to Liverpool with P&O Ferries or sail to the English port from Belfast with Norfolkline Irish Sea. The Steam Packet Company also provides ferries to Liverpool from Douglas.
