Ski show to be held in London |  | | | 10 October 2008 | People planning ski holidays in France and other destinations this winter may be interested in heading to an event being held in London this month to ensure they are fully prepared for their trip.
The Metro Ski and Snowboard Show will be held at the Olympia Grand Hall in west London from October 22nd to 26th.
This event will offer a range of information, services and entertainment for winter sports enthusiasts of all abilities, from novices to experts.
People who need to buy some warm clothes and sports accessories ahead of their trip can head to the show's 'brand arena', which will offer products from top names including Salomon, Westbeach and Columbia.
Another location of interest for winter holidaymakers will be the world resorts village, where representatives from some top destinations for snowboard and ski holidays will give talks.
There will also be plenty of areas dedicated to entertainment, including an 'ice kingdom' featuring a 150-metre-square ice rink, two curling sheets and ice-sculpting competitions.
Self-drive ski holidays to France could be a viable option for winter sport enthusiasts this year as problems in the economy will lead to rises in plane fares and reductions in aircraft capacity. |
