Snowman movie to be performed live in Dublin

Families should start booking their ferries to Dublin so they can head to the city's National Concert Hall for a special Christmas performance.

The classic story of The Snowman will be brought to life in concert form with Craig Doyle narrating.

Children and adults alike will be enchanted as the famous animated movie is projected onto a big screen and accompanied by a live orchestra.

Originally a popular children's book by Raymond Briggs, The Snowman follows the story of a boy whose snowman comes to life and takes him on a journey to meet Father Christmas.

Held from December 14th to 20th, the performance in Dublin will also feature a number of well-known Christmas songs and festive music.

Visitors to Dublin over the festive period can also enjoy the Christmas market which is being held at the city's Docklands area from December 12th to 23rd.

Dublin is easily accessible from Holyhead on the island of Anglesey or Liverpool Birkenhead ferry port.
