The
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has revealed that it is renewing its commitment to high service standards with the introduction of a Passenger Charter.
Key elements of the charter include a clarification of the ferry operator's "core commitments" to passengers and information relating to public safety.
It also encourages customers to provide feedback to the firm to help it improve its service levels and boost efficiency.
The Steam Packet Company said it is "very aware" that its Isle of Man ferry services represent an important transport link for the island and that a smooth crossing is significant if visitors are to receive a positive first impression.
Chief executive Mark Woodward said: "We are very conscious that satisfied passengers are at the heart of our ability to develop the business.
"We operate in challenging conditions at times and the charter provides a structure within which we can best meet passengers' expectations."
Travellers can take
ferries to the Isle of Man with the Steam Packet Company from Liverpool and Heysham.
The operator also offers Belfast and Dublin ferry links from its home port of Douglas.
