Members of the public will be offered a close look at the
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's new vessel Manannan this month when the ferry operator hosts an open day on the ship.
Following the successful introduction of the fast ferry into service recently, the Steam Packet Company will give visitors the chance to inspect her features and facilities on June 23rd.
The ferry operator will also offer a trip around the Isle of Man on Manannan on June 30th, which will provide a buffet and plenty of opportunities to appreciate the island's scenic coastline.
Mark Woodward, chief executive of the Steam Packet Company, said: "We have received a lot of positive feedback since Manannan entered service.
"She has performed exceptionally well during TT 2009 and now that her schedule has eased off, I am delighted to invite members of the public onboard to share in all that Manannan has to offer."
The Steam Packet Company is the main provider of Isle of Man ferry services, providing regular crossings to the island from Liverpool and Heysham. The company also offers ferries to Dublin and Belfast from the port of Douglas.
