The
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is now offering fast craft services on its Liverpool ferry route following the introduction of Manannan.
Currently sailing from Douglas at 07:30, the vessel allows travellers to get from the Isle of Man to Liverpool in around two hours and 30 minutes.
Manannan will be joined on the service in late April by Snaefell, which will also operate on the Steam Packet Company's Belfast and Dublin ferry routes.
Mark Woodward, the ferry operator's chief executive officer, said the fast crossings provide "an excellent way of travelling directly to Liverpool city centre at convenient times and at a competitive fare without extra baggage charges or debit card fees".
He added: "With a crossing time of just 2 hours 30 minutes, a Manannan 07:30 sailing is just the ticket, as passengers can be in Liverpool city centre for 10:00 in the morning, ready for a shopping trip, weekend away or a short break."
The company's Belfast and Dublin ferry services offer journey times of approximately three hours.
