Stena Line plans withdrawal of fast ferry
Due to high bunker costs, Stena Line has plans to withdraw the high speed ferry "Stena Discovery" from service during spring 2007, unless the oil prices will be adjusted downwards before that.
We are able to ensure the capacity both regarding passengers and freight with the two rebuilt ro-pax vessels, confirms Joakim Kenndal, Communications Director at Stena Line.
There will also be a considerable increase of capacity on the Stena Line service between Killingholme and Hoek van Holland during autumn 2006, as two newbuildings of the 3,100 lane m "Stena Seabridger"-type enter service.
