Stena Line has encouraged travellers to hop on a ferry over the coming weeks to experience some of Europe's famous Christmas markets.
One destination that holidaymakers can visit is Valkenburg in southern Holland, which will host the Velvet Cave Christmas market until December 22nd.
Visitors will be able to explore the fair to pick up festive gifts and souvenirs and also enjoy a performance of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
Another popular festive attraction is Winterland Maastricht, which sees the city's Vrijthof area transformed into a winter square featuring an ice rink, a big wheel, a Christmas train and more.
Stena Line also highlighted Germany's festive markets, which will be taking place in destinations such as Cologne and Dortmund over the coming weeks.
The company said that the best way to reach northern Europe is via its Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry route, which is served by two daily crossings.
P&O Ferries operates a Hull to Rotterdam ferry service, while
DFDS Seaways offers ferries to Amsterdam from Newcastle.
