Ferry company
Stena Line has taken part in fundraising activities that have generated some £15,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The money was raised over the past seven years through the ferry operator's support of Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning initiative, the Belfast Telegraph reports.
September 25th is the official date for the next Coffee Morning, an event that invites people all over the country to have a drink with friends and family and collect donations for the charity.
With the £15,000 that it has received from
Stena Line, Macmillan will continue to provide medical, emotional and financial support to people who have been affected by cancer in Northern Ireland.
To raise more money,
Stena Line is planning a one-off fun cruise on Belfast Lough on September 26th.
The company serves the Irish travel market with its ferries to Belfast from Stranraer and its Dun Laoghaire and Dublin ferry routes, which operate from Holyhead.
Travellers can also catch ferries to Rosslare from Fishguard with
Stena Line or sail from Harwich to Hook of Holland.
