Stena Line will soon be offered a new travel experience when the company introduces two new vessels to the route.
The first of the two 'superferries' - which are the largest ships of their kind in the world - will be launched on May 16th.
At nearly 800 feet in length, each vessel will provide a 30 per cent boost in capacity on the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry route.
Stena Line is investing £375 million in the new ferries to reflect the fact that its service to Holland experienced a 13.4 per cent increase in passenger numbers between 2007 and 2009.
Customers travelling on the new ships this year will be able to make use of onboard facilities and amenities including the Metropolitan a-la-carte restaurant, free wireless internet access, sundecks and shops.
The Stena Hollandica will be the first superferry to launch this weekend, followed by the Britannica later in the year.
Stena Line also operates
ferries from Holyhead to Dublin and a Belfast to Stranraer ferry route, among other services.
