Food and nutrition writer Annabel Karmel has devised a new children's menu for Stena Line's Irish Sea crossings.
Ms Karmel has sold four million books worldwide and earned a reputation for encouraging even the most difficult of youngsters to follow a healthy, balanced diet.
Stena Line has chosen to take advantage of this expertise by offering some of Ms Karmel's recommended dishes at outlets on all Irish Sea routes.
According to Jimmy Howey, Stena Line's head of onboard services, the move is consistent with the company's family-oriented policy.
"At Stena Line, we pride ourselves on providing families with a stress free way to travel with dedicated children's play areas and onboard cinemas on our ferries and this latest partnership with Annabel Karmel demonstrates our commitment at providing parents with healthy food options for little people," he commented.
Dishes available include Fruity Chicken Curry, Fish Pie, Spaghetti Bolognaise with hidden vegetables, Chilli Con Carne, Macaroni Cheese and Chocolate Sponge with chocolate sauce.
Ms Karmel's books include The Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner and Top 100 Finger Foods.
