Dance music fans hoping to combine a holiday with a festival this summer can take ferries to Amsterdam to attend a major event just outside the Dutch capital.
The 2010 Dance Valley festival will take place in Spaarnwoude on August 7th.
Founded in 1995, the festival is Holland's biggest open-air dance music event, with more than 60,000 people visiting every year.
Travellers setting off from the UK can reach the Dutch capital by taking
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam with
DFDS Seaways.
A host of big names from the world of dance music will be performing this year, including Booka Shade, Mark Knight and Tocadisco, who will be headlining the main stage.
There will be more than 20 other marquees and mini venues for visitors to check out, hosting shows by the likes of Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren and Sander Kleinenberg.
In addition to the music, Dance Valley will feature burlesque shows, parades and much more for revellers to enjoy.
Holidaymakers planning a trip to The Netherlands this year can also take
ferries from Harwich to Hook of Holland with
Stena Line, while
P&O Ferries sails from Hull to Rotterdam.
