People who enjoy experiencing local traditions and celebrations during their trips abroad might be interested in taking ferries to Belgium this year to attend one of the country's biggest annual events.
The 2010 Brussels Summer Festival will run from August 13th to 22nd.
Described as "a music festival unlike any other", the event features performances on three main stages, as well as more than 30 concerts at indoor venues in bars and clubs around Brussels.
Travellers planning to visit Belgium's capital can take ferries from Hull to Zeebrugge with
P&O Ferries and drive to the city.
Contemporary bands and artists such as Roger Hodgson, Gotan Project and Nouvelle Vague will be performing at the festival this year.
There will also be an entire section dedicated to classical music, as well as various other events including food fairs, special museum openings, street theatre productions and more.
Other travel options on offer to people visiting Belgium include
Norfolkline's ferries from Rosyth to Zeebrugge and the Ramsgate to Ostend ferry route, which is served by
TransEuropa Ferries in partnership with
LD Lines.
