Ferry breaks in Belgium could prove a popular option over the coming weeks as the annual Winter Wonders festival returns to the country's capital city.
The event will be held in Brussels' Place Sainte-Catherine from November 26th this year to January 2nd 2011.
Regarded as one of Europe's best Christmas markets, Winter Wonders features everything from an illuminated big wheel to an ice skating rink.
People interested in visiting Belgium to explore the market can choose from travel options including the
Hull Zeebrugge ferry route, which is served by
P&O Ferries.
Upon arrival in Brussels, visitors can head straight to the main market, which comprises 240 chalets located around the Bourse, Place Sainte-Catherine and the Marche aux Poissons.
Guests can also have some fun on the ice rink or see special skating shows featuring Sarah Abitbol on December 1st, 2nd, 22nd and 23rd, before trying out the toboggan run and visiting the 40-metre-long ice dinosaur that will be lurking behind the big wheel.
Holidaymakers heading to Belgium can also take
ferries from Ramsgate to Ostend with
TransEuropa Ferries/LD Lines or order
cheap Eurostar tickets to Brussels.
