Ferries to Dublin could prove a popular option in July when the city hosts a brand new event.
The Summer Sensational, which is described as an "age-friendly festival bursting with exciting events", will be held in the Temple Bar cultural quarter from July 8th to 11th.
Visitors will be treated to a programme of shows and live entertainment encompassing everything from music and drama to storytelling and visual arts.
People planning to attend Summer Sensational this year can take
ferries from Holyhead to Dublin with
Irish Ferries or
Stena Line.
Highlights of the festival will include the Summer Sunday celebration at Meeting House Square on July 11th, which will feature performances by the Dublin Gospel Choir, Ottoni Brass Ensemble and others.
The festival will also include outdoor screenings of three classic movies - Jaws, Dirty Dancing and Stand by Me - on July 8th, 9th and 11th respectively.
People with an interest in visual arts will be able to visit exhibitions at venues such as the Monster Truck Gallery, Cow's Lane and No Grants Gallery.
P&O Irish Sea and
Norfolkline also provide travel options for people planning to visit Ireland this year, with regular
