Travellers planning to take ferries to the Netherlands for a break in February next year will have the opportunity to seek out some memorable experiences at the Holland Flowers Festival.
The event will take place from February 23rd to 27th in a brand new location - the Agriport A7 venue in Middenmeer, a town in the province of North Holland.
Returning for its 78th outing, the festival will present a range of spectacular floral displays based on the theme of Mexico, a destination that organisers describe as "a piece of paradise on earth where the sun always seems to shine".
People interested in attending the event this year can take
ferries from Harwich to Hook of Holland with
Stena Line, while
DFDS Seaways provides daily
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam.
All sorts of beautiful flowers and bulbous plants will go on display during the festival, from tulips and daffodils to hyacinths and crocuses.
More than 25,000 people visited last year to see the wonderful array of flora and visit the consumer fair, which sells different products and services related to gardening, cooking, leisure and lifestyle.
P&O Ferries provides another option for people planning a trip to Holland next year, with regular
ferries from Hull to Rotterdam.
