Travellers planning to take ferries to Holland to visit Amsterdam this year might be interested in seeing the Temporary Stedelijk.
The building is playing host to a set of exhibitions while renovation work is being carried out on the Stedelijk Museum, an institute that showcases modern and contemporary art.
Writing in a blog for
P&O Ferries, Rosie Khdir revealed that the temporary space is being used to ensure that there are still artworks on show to the public while the refurbishment is taking place.
Some parts of the building are being used to show highlights from the museum's collection, including paintings from the 19th to 21st centuries, sculptures, photography and graphic design.
Art enthusiasts planning Holland ferry breaks can also see a display dedicated to artists who live and work in The Netherlands.
The show explores themes relating to the country's history and national identity.
Ms Khdir pointed out that people interested in visiting Holland can reach the country by taking
ferries from Hull to Rotterdam with
P&O.
DFDS Seaways offers daily
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam, while
Stena Line operates
ferries from Harwich to Hook of Holland.
