Families looking for a memorable event to attend this year might be interested in taking a ferry to Northern Ireland to experience Derry's Carnival of Colours.
The entertainment extravaganza will be held at St Columb's Park on Limavady Road from May 24th to 29th.
Travellers can reach Derry by taking ferries to Belfast from Liverpool with
Norfolkline or from Stranraer with
Stena Line and driving west through Northern Ireland.
The Carnival of Colours is based around two tents that provide an array of family entertainment.
Audiences will be able to enjoy traditional circus acts, live music and various other sights, sounds and tastes that represent different locations and communities from around the world.
People who choose to visit Derry during a Northern Ireland ferry break can also see some of the city's permanent attractions, such as the Tower Museum and the cathedrals of St Columb and St Eugene.
Other travel options for holidaymakers planning a trip to the region include Stena Line's ferries from Fleetwood to Larne and
P&O Ferries' Cairnryan to Larne ferry service.
