Holidaymakers planning to take ferries to Spain to see the country's northern coast will have the opportunity to see San Sebastian, a city that has been recommended by a travel expert.
Tom Hall, travel editor at Lonely Planet, said that the destination provides an ideal base for people who are planning to attend the famous San Fermin festival, which includes the Pamplona bull run.
It also boasts several attractions and experiences of its own.
"San Sebastian is a superb city and it's got a glorious town beach, fantastic restaurant scene and it would make a very pleasant base to explore not just [the city] but the surrounding area," Mr Hall said.
Travellers can reach northern Spain by taking
ferries from Portsmouth to Santander with
Brittany Ferries, which also sails from Plymouth.
The 2010 San Fermin festival will take place between July 6th and 14th and will include bull running events at 08:00 local time on every day except July 6th.
P&O Ferries also provides a link between the UK and Spain, with
ferries from Portsmouth to Bilbao set to run until the end of September this year.
