There will be some memorable entertainment on offer to movie and music fans planning an Isle of Wight ferry break next month, with a St George's Day Concert set to be performed in Cowes.
The Royal British Legion Central Band will visit Cowes Yacht Haven at Marina Walk on April 23rd to present the show.
Film lovers will be in their element at the event, as its main theme will be classic movie music from the 20th century.
Those who would like to attend the concert can take
ferries from Portsmouth to Fishbourne with
Wightlink and take a short drive along the island's north coast to reach Cowes.
During the evening, attendees will be treated to renditions of music from Goldfinger, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Gone With the Wind, The Sound of Music and other timeless films.
The performance will conclude with Sir Henry Wood's Fantasia on British Sea Songs and Sir Edward Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March, providing a grand finish to proceedings.
Travellers heading to the Isle of Wight can also take ferries from Portsmouth to Ryde with Wightlink, or use the operator's Lymington to Yarmouth ferry service.
