People who admit to having a soft spot for a cold beer will be able to catch ferries to Belgium in October to attend a festival celebrating the beverage.
The Diksmuide Beerfest will be held in the town in north-west Belgium on October 17th and 24th this year.
Ferries to Ostend, the closest port to Diksmuide, are provided by
TransEuropa Ferries from Ramsgate, while
Norfolkline operates a Dover to Dunkerque ferry service that offers easy access to Belgium.
More than 130 breweries take part in Beerfest, serving up over 400 different varieties of beer from a large hall on the town's main market square.
An oom-pah band will provide live musical entertainment and there will be plenty of food served up to accompany the drinks.
The festival will run from 18:30 to 23:30 on each day and charges only 3 (£2.60) for entry.
P&O Ferries also provides access to Belgium with its Hull to Zeebrugge ferry route, while
Norfolkline offers ferries to Zeebrugge from Rosyth in Scotland.
