People planning to take ferries to Denmark for a getaway this spring have been encouraged to pay a visit to Copenhagen.
VisitDenmark revealed that spring is one of the ideal times to visit the capital, with major attractions beginning to open their doors and popular annual events taking place.
Travellers coming from the UK can reach the country by taking ferries to Esbjerg from Harwich with
DFDS Seaways.
One indicator of the arrival of spring in Copenhagen is the opening of one of its most popular attractions, Tivoli Gardens, on April 15th.
This year, younger visitors to the park will be able to meet the popular Danish children's character Petzi, while parents will enjoy live music concerts, flower displays, high-quality dining experiences and more.
Another major attraction on offer to visitors is the Copenhagen Carnival, which will feature a parade, a dance dome and plenty of outdoor entertainment between May 21st and 23rd.
People planning to extend their trip from the Danish capital can take ferries to Oslo from Copenhagen with DFDS Seaways.
The company also provides access to mainland Europe via its Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry route.
