Ferries to Dun Laoghaire could prove a popular travel option among people with a passion for poetry and literature next month.
The 2010 Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Poetry Now festival will take place between March 25th and 28th.
People interested in attending the event can take ferries to Dun Laoghaire from Holyhead with
Stena Line, which also offers a Holyhead to Dublin ferry service.
The festival is held to celebrate poetry and creativity from around the world and this year's outing will be no different, with writers from Albania, Mexico, the US, Spain and many other countries set to take part.
All sorts of events are arranged during Poetry Now, including lectures, writing workshops and readings, most of which will take place at the Pavilion Theatre.
Many of the events - including the announcement of the Irish Times Poetry Now award winner on March 27th - will be free but will require advance booking.
People planning to visit Ireland this year can take ferries to Dublin from Liverpool with
Norfolkline Irish Sea or
P&O Ferries, while
Irish Ferries offers crossings on the Holyhead to Dublin ferry route.
