Ferries to France could prove popular among music fans this year, with a number of high-profile festivals set to take place across the country.
People planning to visit the Brittany region in north-west France could time their trip to coincide with the Festival Interceltique, which will be held in Lorient from August 6th to 15th.
The Cranberries, Luz Casal and Soldat Louis will be among hundreds of musicians performing at this event, with various other shows and exhibitions being arranged to celebrate Celtic culture.
Brittany Ferries offers a number of options for people heading to north-west France, including
ferries from Portsmouth to St Malo, Caen and Cherbourg and a Plymouth to Roscoff ferry route.
On the eastern side of the country, Colmar will get into the festival mood between July 2nd and 13th with an annual event celebrating classical music.
Maurice Ravel and Sergei Rachmaninov are among the composers whose work will be showcased in Colmar.
Those who prefer modern music can head to Arras in Nord-Pas-de-Calais between July 2nd and 4th to attend the Main Square Festival, which will feature performances by the Black Eyed Peas, Jamiroquai, Pearl Jam and others.

SeaFrance operate
ferries from Dover to Calais, while
LD Lines provides access to north-east France via the Dover to Boulogne ferry link.
