Take ferries to Holland for the Flowers Festival

Take ferries to Holland for the Flowers Festival
People with a passion for nature can book ferries to Holland for a last-minute break this month to attend the Flowers Festival.

The event, which is set to take place between February 24th and 28th, traditionally celebrates the beginning of spring.

Every year, it attracts thousands of visitors to Zwaagdijk in the province of North Holland.

People planning to take ferries to the Netherlands to attend the event can travel with DFDS Seaways, which operates a daily Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry service.

Exhibitors at the Flowers Festival celebrate the colourful and vibrant side of Holland, showcasing a selection of blossoming bulbs, trees, shrubs and other plant life.

Local people get into the spirit of the occasion by playing music, wearing traditional dress and helping to decorate the 4,500 square metres of land that is used as the display area.

Other travel options for people visiting the Netherlands include P&O Ferries' Hull to Rotterdam ferry route and Stena Line's ferries to Hook of Holland from Harwich.
